Common Emitter Explorer Board Kit [v2]
Common Emitter Explorer Board Kit [v2]
This kit for the Common Emitter Explorer Board v2, updated and improved from the original design, is an unassembled learning board kit for a beta-independent, common emitter amplifier. The simple circuit that underlies this explorer board is a great first circuit to digest and will prove to be a useful building block within more complex designs later on.
Drop in any BJT transistor and start exploring. Grab your multimeter and probe the test points while adjusting the timpots to explore again and again. You can hope to achieve an intuitive understanding of transistor biasing, gain setting, and a better overall feel for how these components interact to produce a basic (and very useful) audio amplifier.
* paperclips are INCLUDED in kits that contain parts, but were omitted from the product photography
WHATS NEW in this version
This version (v2) has been updated to add toggle switches for instant, stay in place measuring of each trimpot. The previous version (now deeply discounted) required the user to remove each trimpot after adjusting to get a measurement. In v2, the trimpots stay in place and you just press a toggle switch to get a measurement.
